Excellent material and looks just like the picture. Got a lot of compliments! I used it for rainy and windy weather and it did a great job. I also had to use it for an unexpected low weather and I wore some inside layers and it worked out great. It's waterproof and dirt repellent because I used it for a whole week and there's no stains at all. The white stands out beautifully and the design looks stylish on you. I usually wear a small, but sometimes I'm between sizes, so I sized up to Medium thinking I should leave some space for layering, and with our without layering it's perfect!I brought this for a trip to Europe not knowing for sure if I would need it. It ended up raining all day in Stockholm. This coat kept me dry. The hood fits around the face so it didn’t blow off in the wind or let rain get in. Worth it. I went by the advice and got a Large even though I normally wear a medium size. Honestly, probably could have ordered the medium and been fine. This coat is chic enough to wear on a rainy day in Paris, sturdy enough to wear hiking in the woods, and edgy enough to blend into the bar crowds at night. I have a collection of raincoats, but as soon as I got this one, the rest went into storage! I love this coat, and its been money very well spent.I've been using it regularly through the rainy winter and spring (since December of 2019), and its held up really well. No leaks, and it looks brand new despite the fact that I have put it through the ringer. I honestly love to walk in the rain, and this has kept me cozy and dry. Its got a little bit of weight to it, so its perfect for those 40 to 70 degree rainy days...but any warmer than that and it starts getting a little hot in there.I'm slender/average - 5'7" with a 34' bust and hip, and the medium fits me very well. Just roomy enough that I can wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath, but also not too lose for the days when I'm just wearing a t-shirt. As others have said, the cuffs are pretty tight, but I don't mind it!The only con is the pockets. My jacket arrived with a small hole in one of the pockets- but the fleece was easily sewn up, and I haven't had a problem since. Other than that, the pockets are kind of tight, but I can usually manage to fit in the following: Wallet, tampons, chapstick in the inside breast pocket; phone, airpods, sunglasses, keys in the hand pockets. The phone is kind of hard to get in and out, that's the main downside. And there's not much room left for your hands. One day I might pull out the fleece and extend the pockets a bit.I love this jacket. I bought it 2 1/2 years ago for a trip to Scotland in November. It kept me warm and cozy (sometimes with a fleece jacket underneath) in cold weather and dry during heavy rain in the Highlands. It can be folded up and put in a small backpack (mine is 15L). It also is breathable - I never got too warm in it in 40 and 50 F weather. I wore it home a lot and then again this past May when I went to Ireland. I'm about to go to Paris, where it has been unusually warm for February. I had planned to take my long down coat, but this will be perfect for this trip, as it looks like it will rain a lot.I noticed that someone said in a review that the jacket was not waterproof. All I know is that when I was in Oban in northern Scotland and it was raining cats and dogs (so to speak) with strong winds coming off the sea, and I had to walk from my B&B near the edge of town into the center to find a restaurant for dinner, and later back, it kept me dry under conditions that would soak an all-weather coat or even my water-resistant winter down coat.In addition to protection from rain and sleet, having it zip well above the neck and having a hood means that one can stay reasonably dry when it's too windy or otherwise difficult to manage an umbrella. OK, it was a lot more fashionable looking in dry weather (even in an XXL) when one does not need the hood or to be zipped up all the way (lots of possibilities with a scarf), but it was good to know that I could be fully protected from wind and rain if I needed it.This is an incredibly comfortable, form fitting, great rain coat! I recently traveled and was in many rain storms but the coat kept me dry. I love how it is long enough to cover my bum and all the stitching is covered to keep me dry. The style is beautiful and form fitting no matter what size you are. I am a size 14 with a large chest and the XL was perfect. I would highly recommend this raincoat. It is worth the money to keep completely dry!I absolutely love this jacket! The breathable, waterproof fabric is soft to the touch and not crinkly, crackly. Workmanship is very nice. The cut is flattering and not too boxy. It is soft enough and pretty enough to wear as an all weather jacket and does not look like a typical rain jacket...nothing rubbery or plastic. Because comments with height and weight are much more helpful when I'm looking at reviews I'll share that I am 5'4", 135 pounds. I usually wear a medium top, but sometimes large depending on the cut, size 6 pants. It took a bit to figure out, first ordering in both medium and large to see what fit best, because of comments saying it runs a bit small for USA sizing, and though the medium was wearable it felt a bit snug across the shoulders and bust. I like my outer layer to be looser so I kept the large and it fits perfectly with some room for layering. The length is great for my height, longer than a regular jacket, more like a parka length or fingertip length. I could not be happier. I can't speak to the functionality yet since I have not worn it, or tried it out in the rain, but will update this post when I do.I have had Helly Hansen products for years. Having moved to Phoenix from Montana I didn’t need to have a ski jackets anymore but spotted this and it’s perfect for our winter days in December and January. The coat is stylish and classy. I loved it so much I ordered one for my daughter. As usual with Helle go up one size. She usually wears a medium ordered a large and it fit. I get a large and ordered an extra large and it fit! It’s hanging in the closet waiting for next December and I know I will enjoy it!Daughter needed to look good for 6th year with coat that was properly waterproof for Scottish August, that had length to fit flatteringly with skirt/Dr Martens - and one that didn't leave her cooked through lack of breathability. This has been well and truly tested over two days of torrential rain now and has passed with flying colours. After day of being stuffed in schoolbag came out with minimal creases. She is size 16 and 5 3. The XL was good shape with space for jumper in cold weather, but not baggy and shapeless. Knee length, and the extra stud button at cuff meant neat at wrists.Delivered incredibly quickly. All in all, worth every penny so far. This fits well is a good length. I am a size 12/14 and needed xl please check their chest measurements. Has an inside pocket however i went to the lake district walking ans had a very light drizzle of rai. For about an hour I was completely soaked through on the shoulders it is not water resistant in any form .I've had numerous jackets which claimed to be waterproof/rainproof. Some even worked fairly well but most were bulky and failed when the rain was at its worst. I recently wore this in a torrential downpour and I remained dry. It is very lightweight so can be easily packed away when not in use. I gave it 4/5 for flattering but let's face it, it's an anorak! I bought a size larger than usual to allow for a fleece underneath as there's no thick insulating layer. All in it's a nice, functional piece of kit, you get what you pay for.I am very happy with this jacket. It's quite lightweight but I have plenty of technical clothing to layer up and keep warm. I am a size 12 and I bought a size 12. Whilst it doesn't look too big and baggy when I have very little on underneath, it is equally big enough to accommodate all my layering. I am finding it to be thoroughly waterproof. The hood is a generous size, but still, when I have my hair up it's not quite large enough so its either take my hair down or risk getting wet sleeve cuffs because I am pulling the hood cap as far forward as I can and inviting rain to run down my wrists. Nevertheless its the biggest hood I've come across. Mine is navy blue and it looks smart. The main downside is that to retain the waterproofness after a machine wash, you need to dry it in a dryer. I don't have a dryer so I'm wiping off any dirt when I get home, whereas in the past I'd just bung it in the washing machine.Love length of coat. Keep water off my bottom! Stylish fit. Inside pocket could be a little larger for phone and better on outside of jacket as with winter weight version. I have two of the winter weight versions of this coat. (Belfast) They get a great deal of hammer as I'm a dog walker. Purchased summer weight one as so pleased with winter primaloft version that I bought two of the colour. Smart coat and reluctant to spoil it with mud etc but that's what it was bought for. Wash well and great value.
