I loved the way this coat looked when closed, but disliked the way it looked when open, so I ended up returning it. The truth is, I need a coat I could throw on when running out the door to the post office, and I rarely button anything up all the way to the neck, much less double-knot a belt in the front. That's just too much work when you are running out the door! But if you are the kind of person who always buttons things up to the top, this is for you.There are only 2 buttons: a regular button at the waist, and a large snap button at the collarbone. The belt is removable, and if you wanted, you could probably unpick the belt loops with a seam ripper, but without the belt, the coat is a bit floppy and shapeless. You can see in my last photo that I had a hard time getting things situated when the coat was open. It just doesn't look as nice as when it's all belted up and snapped at the neck.The color was very attractive---the Cream is a bright bone white that would be flattering on a lot of people. Overall, I would have kept it if I was the kind of person who can commit to always buttoning/belting things up---but I'm way more casual than that!This jacket is so cute! great quality. It has a nice satin liner. I’m 5’1 so the length is also perfect. It’s adorable buttoned you or just tied. Love love love!I keep trying Allegra, and I really need to stop. It's just not enough quality for me to enjoy the clothes. This had real potential, and I did really like the material feel and color, as well as the length and the front closure details on this coat.The problem is the construction. I marked in the attached photos, that the belt loops are way up on my ribcage, just below my breasts. The black lines show the loop locations, and the red line shows where my actual waist was. I do have a long torso, so this is often a problem for me, especially when buying asian brands, but the description on the item says that the model wearing the coat is 5' 10" tall. I am 5' 8.5" tall, so I took the chance it would fit at my waist and was disappointed. Either this model is all legs, or she is 5' 3".The second issue, is that even if the belt loops had been in the right place for my waist, they were two different heights. In the front view photo, it kind of looks like they align, but my arm taking the photo and holding the phone is up, and so that side of the coat is actually brought up by my arm. The loops were not sewn on to the same height. It's just a quality control issue.The third issue, which is why I didn't chose to just see if I could reattach the belt loops at the right height, was another quality control issue, where the lining of the pocket was not sewn in flat, but part of it was caught in the stitching of the other side of the pocket, so it was shorted, and felt puckered and weird when I put my hand in. It's not obvious from the photo, I could only tell if my hand was in the pocket, but it bothered me, I like to be able to use my pockets. So, the coat is being returned. If they could make a "long" version and fix their quality in construction issues, I'd love a coat like this.I really like the look and style of this coat, but the fit was a bit off for me. Contrary to some of the other reviews, I think it fits like a petite. I’m 5’5”, 115lbs, and tried the small and medium. (First two photos are the small, and last photo is the medium). The small looked best, but was proportioned a bit short - belt hit me on my rib cage, and the sleeves were just an inch or two shorter than I would have liked. It just felt snug and I think I wouldn’t have reached for it in my closet, though it looks super cute and stylish and seems like it’d be warm. I tried going up in size to a medium but unfortunately it just looked sloppy in the arms and was too wide in the torso, though the arm and waist length was better. I’m also afraid that it’d end up covered in my cat’s fur, as it seems like it might stick and really show up on the black coat. I’m still tempted to keep the small because it’s such a cute coat, but I’m afraid it’s going back.This coat is lively but a bit more of a taylored fit than I expected. The fabric is soft and a lovely cream color. I would prefer that it were lighter weight for springtime wear. I am keeping the coatThe over all style but I am very disappointed that you change the top button on the coat to an ugly snap between sizes, large and Exlg cheapens the look of the coatThis coat is gorgeous, and looks way more expensive that 80 bux!. Well made and fits like a dream. I am petite, 5' 1'' and size xs and this fit like a dream. Thick fabric is nice and warm plus it has satin lining. Very pleased!This coat is flattering in cut and especially the blue color. The blue is dusty so almost a neutral -- it was the only coat I packed on a long trip and it always blended well with other pieces.This is a lovely and stylish coat, however I found It was not true to size. The sleeves were very tight fitting and the overall fitting was too small could not even buuton up.Would recommend sizing up.The price is far to expensive with all these issues.This coat is so beautiful iv had so many complements about it when I wore it , the pictures on here don’t do it justice !! I’m a size 12 and 5,1 and it was a perfect fit , I defo want to order another coat in a different colourI like itPros:- lined- beautiful colour- tailored fit- nice wrap design- material is thick and seemingly good qualityCons :- long delivery time from China- no XXS size. XS was too large for me. My dimensions are 33" 25" 35"- since the coat is too large for me, I wear it without attaching the waist button and simply wrap the coat around my body, using the belt to keep the coat closed and secure- not sure if this is a manufacturing defect, but my collar snap button doesn't snap; very difficult to use snap button as it is not magnetic
